Can I remove a pupil from my lesson? |
|||||
Yes, of course you can. This is usually the best strategy to use is you feel that a confrontation will arise, or if you need to reinforce a matter to a pupil in private. Usually this will only take a few minutes at most. Make sure, however, you can still view the class when you do this. In some cases removing a pupil for a few minutes will allow a 'cooling off' period to take effect...for both teacher and pupil! Do not remove a pupil for extended period of time without supervision ( 5 minutes is condidered to be the maximum time ). For more serious incidents the Head of Science/Key Stage Co-ordinator should be contacted. Pupils will then be given a different location to work. |
