Absolutely essential!  How Science Works should form the basis of the schemes of work. It is the driving force for the new curriculum in science. Every lesson should havea strong element of How Science Works.  Indeed, most of our lessons use How Science Works as the engine which drives  the content, not the other way around!  This might present a paradigm shift in the way that teachers have taught science before!
